Educational Coaching
With the onset of Covid, it has become essential for students to be tutored if they want to continue to be successful. Unfortunately, there’s going to be a big difference between the people that can afford to tutor or give their children the extra time to teach them themselves and those who can’t. Children are faced with much greater demand. They have missed important pieces in their education. Some students may not have been paying attention very well to a section of material, and then they were out of school for a while because of shutdowns. The teachers may not go back and recover the work that they were doing before because they have to try to keep up with the curriculum. This is causing a lot of gaps in the children’s learning.
Tutoring is not an option for parents anymore. If you want your child to be successful, some degree of tutoring is going to need to be done. We want every motivated parent to have the opportunity to address the needs of their struggling children. We can help!
We can also “coach” you, as the parent, on how to advocate with the school, your child’s teacher, or the CSE. Sometimes students that are struggling do not get the services they need and deserve. We can help bridge the gap. We are available for consultations on these matters.

Testing Recommendations
- We can meet with you on a consultation to review your child’s areas of difficulty and suggest assessments to identify those areas for the school. You can then have the school test your child.

Online Tutoring
Many people have converted to online tutoring due to covid. It is certainly more convenient for all concerned. However, it is not always best for the student. One-to-one tutoring online is much more successful than group online tutoring. However, unmotivated, learning disabled, or inattentive students really require in-person one-to-one tutoring. Having said this, motivated students do very well in an online format. We can tutor someone who lives anywhere in the world. We are English-speaking only but are available to anyone wanting to improve their math, science, or test prep scores. We can also help with written and spoken English for standardized test prep or TESOL learners. We can use Zoom, Facetime, WhatsApp, Facebook,

Dr. Stone tutored me through chemistry and math in the summer before my junior year. He made it easy for me to get through most of my chemistry class even before I took it. He was fun to work with and explained things very well. I got straight As in both subjects after that.
I started out the year with a 28% in math. I was so discouraged! Ms. B (now Ms. Montessoro) encouraged me to keep working on my remedial math skills. It was hard but I kept trying. By the end of the year, my overall average was 85%! I was so excited! My friends even started asking me for help.
Coach Al helped me prepare for SAT between my Jr and Sr years. When I took the SAT in January my score increased by 140 points in math and 50 points in English. Thanks to his help, I was able to get into my favorite school.
